The Spirit
of Hope Society is Broward House’s giving society comprised of
individuals who make an annual gift to Broward House to support its
programs and services. Name recognition will be given in Broward House
publications and marketing materials unless you prefer to remain
anonymous. In certain instances, a donation may include the ability to

Maxine
Lemarr has worked tirelessly for the
welfare of individuals living with and affected by HIV disease. She was
present for those with HIV and AIDS long before anyone in Broward
County recognized their needs. She is well known throughout the Broward
community as an advocate and fundraiser. During her years at Broward
House she became the face of the agency and the most recognizable name
associated with it.
Maxine
has retired after 17 years of service as a staff member at Broward
House. To honor her and recognize her efforts, Broward House has
initiated the MAXINE LEMARR HUMANITARIAN FUND. The
money raised through this fund will enable Broward House to provide
their clients with most anything that will make their life more
enjoyable. That might be a visit with a friend or family member they
haven’t seen, a salon appointment, job training, cosmetic dentistry or
just something extra to provide some fun. These are the kinds of things
Maxine would like persons living with HIV to access who would not
otherwise be able to afford them |
