Who We Are

Broward House is privileged to have just about 100 employees who wake up every day ready to serve our clients with compassion and respect. Every one of our employees does their job with dedication and enthusiasm as they strive to meet the needs of our clients. While we cherish every one of our employees, we would like to highlight some of the stories they wish to share about what brought them to Broward House and what drives them to be the best they can be for our clients.

What Broward House Means To Me

I joined Broward House in 2006. I have been working in the Finance Department for the last eight years.  It is truly inspiring to be a part of an organization that positively influences the lives of others. At Broward House, our core values are not just words on a page – they are our bottom line.

Even though I do not work on the front lines, how the staffs devote themselves serving the clients walking in our doors every day impresses me. They strive to improve the lives of individuals living with or at risk for HIV and other health issues.

I have attended graduations of clients who successfully completed the treatment programs to move on with their lives in a healthy, productive and positive manner. Seeing the joy on their faces brought tears to my eyes. I am fascinated and proud of my colleagues for being able to interact and empower the clients.

Before I joined the Agency I have the least knowledge about HIV/AIDS. Now I know that we all have a part to play: volunteering, participating in events, spreading the words to our friends and relatives, and to educate the young people in our communities.

Prevention is the key. HIV prevention, avoiding infection in the first place, is still the surest way to fight AIDS.
