On June 20th, during the Stonewall Pride Festival, Broward House proudly accepted a check for $169,850.37 from the Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival a moment that represented months of generosity, advocacy, and unwavering community support.
While the check was presented in a single evening, it tells a story that began long before Stonewall Pride.
Over the past several months, individuals, businesses, community partners, and dedicated supporters came together to champion Broward House’s mission. Some made personal donations. Others joined fundraising teams, rallied support from family and friends, volunteered their time, or participated in community events. Local businesses opened their doors through initiatives like Dining Out For Life, while corporate partners and sponsors invested in the work we do every day.
Adding to that impact, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) provided a 75% fundraising match, amplifying the generosity of our supporters and allowing every eligible dollar raised to go even further in strengthening services throughout Broward County.
For Broward House, the significance of this milestone extends far beyond the amount on the check. It represents thousands of conversations about HIV prevention. It reflects the trust our community continues to place in our organization. Most importantly, it represents the belief that every person deserves access to compassionate healthcare, stable housing, behavioral health services, and the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

This is not Broward House’s accomplishment alone. It belongs to every person who chose to stand beside us, and because of them, we will be able to continue changing lives across Broward County.”
As we celebrate this milestone, our focus remains on what lies ahead. To continue providing HIV prevention services, housing assistance, behavioral health counseling, medical respite care, substance use treatment, and comprehensive case management to individuals and families throughout Broward County.
