Our History
The SMART Ride began in 2003 with a vision of giving back 100% of every participant-raised dollar to AIDS service organizations throughout Florida. After 20 years of realizing this vision, The SMART Ride decided to pass this challenge to the agencies themselves. The Joy Ride is the agencies’ answer to that call.
Our Mission
The Joy Ride is committed to creating, producing, and overseeing community-based events in which 100% of what the participant raises is returned to benefiting nonprofit organizations. In so doing, we act as an avenue for change in the nonprofit fundraising community.
Our Ride
The Joy Ride is launching its inaugural ride on November 22-23, 2024. “The joy continues!” from Miami to Key West, spanning two days and 165 miles of scenic, sun-kissed landscapes. Participants in The Joy Ride fundraise and contribute to the benefiting agencies, ensuring vital resources reach those in need. Whether it’s supporting housing, healthcare services, the LGBTQ+ community, mental health services, or HIV prevention, treatment, and care, every mile cycled will make a meaningful difference in peoples’ lives across the state of Florida.
