The Joy Ride
November 21-22, 2025The Joy Ride is a two-day, 165-mile bike ride that raises funds to support services for individuals living with HIV in Florida.

New Riders & Crew Welcome
The ride is fully supported, ensuring that you’re never alone. The Joy Ride is a community-focused event, and we’re with you every step of the way to help you achieve your fundraising goals and complete the ride.
All five of our beneficiaries offer group training rides.
Our veteran riders are always available at events and training rides to provide valuable advice and assistance as you prepare.
During the event, we offer sweep vans, pit stops, medical tents, bike technicians, and more to keep you safe and on the road.
Friends can also sign up as Crew on the Joy Ride. They help with meals, pit stops, water stops, cheerleading, and more!

$125 Registration Fee Includes
- Housing on Friday, November 21st at our overnight destination
- Food and snacks on the route
Riders are required to raise a minimum of $1200 by November 21st. Crew are encouraged to fundraise but not required. 100% of the funds raised are given back to the five benefiting organizations.

Dr. Jana Jaffe
Dr. Jaffe’s cycling journey is a remarkable blend of personal passion and community service, dedicated to supporting individuals living with HIV and mental health challenges. Dr. Jaffe’s commitment stems from a deeply personal connection to the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s, which claimed the lives of many friends and colleagues.
As our Behavioral Health Manager at Broward House, Dr. Jaffe has been instrumental in raising awareness and funds through events like The SMART Ride and its successor, The Joy Ride FL. By cycling 165 miles annually, Dr. Jaffe honors their memory while raising funds for critical services at Broward House.
