Broward House is dedicated to Rebuilding Lives. We focus on supporting the community through four pillars of service: Transitional Housing, Case Management, Behavioral Health Services, and Testing & Outreach.

Transitional Housing
Supportive housing and outreach services for individuals in Broward County.
Broward House is the oldest and largest provider of housing in Broward County specifically for people living with HIV. We offer four levels of transitional housing assistance and assign a designated case manager to help each resident meet their unique goals:
- Broward House's Assisted Living Facility is the only transitional housing facility that offers 24/7 medical support and an onsite substance use treatment program.
- Once stabilized, residents can transition to our Step-Up Recovery House. This shared living option provides easy access to support, case management, and ongoing health care.
- Our Project-Based Rental Assistance program provides a stable environment in a Broward House apartment building. Residents continue receiving comprehensive wrap-around services while transitioning to complete independence.
- Our Tenant-Based Rental Voucher program helps eligible individuals find low-income rental housing in Broward County.

Case Management
Broward House is the largest provider of HIV case management services in Broward County.
Broward House’s case managers are Care Guides who use a wealth of knowledge and resources to help. They identify pathways to wellness for everyone who walks through our door, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background. Our case managers create customized plans unique to each client’s goals to best support their mental and physical well-being.
At Broward House, we don’t just help our clients apply for benefits and make appointments. We go the extra mile. We accompany them to their appointments, guide them through the process, advocate on their behalf, and teach them to advocate for themselves.
Behavioral Health
Holistic and therapeutic support programs
Broward House offers free holistic and therapeutic support programs to individuals regardless of income, insurance, or HIV status. Counselors meet clients where they are—mentally, emotionally, and literally—holding sessions anywhere the participant feels safe and supported.
- CLEAR Path aims to increase services for members of racial and ethnic medically underserved communities.
- Positive Healing offers free mental and behavioral health support, psychiatric assessment, and medication to low-income persons living with HIV in Broward County.
- Our Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program is the only program in South Florida specifically for people living with HIV and the leading agency for the treatment of methamphetamine use disorder. We are also the largest treatment center serving the LGBTQ+ population in Broward County and the only program that tailors care for people of the trans experience.
Testing & Outreach
Free, quick, and confidential testing
There are over 21,000 individuals living with HIV in Broward County, with South Florida leading the nation in new HIV diagnoses each year.
Broward House offers free, quick, and confidential HIV, STI, and Hepatitis C testing at our Client Service Center and mobile units. We provide immediate linkage to care and medication, including counseling.
Our team of Linkage Specialists are highly skilled phlebotomists with extensive experience in sexual health education, many of which have lived experience managing HIV.
Our efforts in linkage to HIV care help individuals achieve a suppressed viral load, significantly improving the quality of their lives.
